hello, i’m new and i come from cachyos. i read so many good reviews about this distro and i’m trying to find stop hopping distro hoping this is it. i’m looking for a post install guide to do to optimize the system (especially for gaming)
maybe if you posted some info about your current setup that could help.

hardware
there is this for start with for gaming
sorry i using cinnamon, i have installed nvidia and have install steam and lutris.
Depending on your hardware. Make sure you have set it up for your particular gpu. Also make sure you install the lib32 files. I don’t know necessarily that Cinnamon is better or worse for gaming. I’m not really a gamer. I think steam and lutris are good choices. You could post your hardware as @thefrog suggested. You can post the url from the command.

I was going to offer some suggestions, but looking at the guide @thefrog has shared, it covers the things I might have mentioned. It’s quite thorough, and worth looking into.
That said, for the most part, so long as you’ve correctly installed your drivers and Steam (including necessary libs), most games, including Windows games, should run well. A lot of the tips and so on that you’ll find, are more about addressing issues.
I would recommend using Proton Glorious Eggroll (proton-ge-custom-bin AUR) as your default compatibility tool.

how install lib32 files?
depending on the name of the packages you will do something like
yay -S $PACKAGENAME
Need find AUR package for lib32?
Start with the thread I originally posted. I don’t game so I have no idea of what you need.
When i mentioned this it was because you posted the following.
It depends on what is needed and what platforms you are using for gaming such as steam and lutris etc. Some may require 32bit lib files. There are 32bit lib files for mesa and nvidia-utils as an example.
Here’s a bash script to install a lot of the things you will need for gaming. https://github.com/Zerschranzer/arch-gaming-setup
