Pluto TV website, and DRM

I was fooling around with the Pluto website to see if I could watch a movie. Turns out I could not. I suspect I need to create an account. I don t really want another account. I have enough accounts. But something on the website was interesting. When I tried to play an on demand movie, and it would not play, a few seconds later, a button appeared, saying the movie would not play unless DRM was enabled. That sort of implied DRM was disabled. At least at that moment it did. Anyway, I clicked enable, and the movie still didn t play…after the fact I wonder if clicking that actually changed something in Linux. Is DRM disabled in EOS? I can t remember, but I think it said something about DRM during install…

In Firefox, DRM is disabled by default immediately after the first installation, and it always prompts you to agree to enable it.

As for why it doesn’t work on Pluto TV, I can’t help you. I am able to watch content from all the streaming services I use on Firefox with DRM enabled.

Hmm. I guess it could be my vpn. I will disable it, and see if I can watch anything.

I think Librewolf is somehow blocking it. I can use Zen browser, and stuff plays fine on Pluto with mullvad running.

I’m not having issues in Firefox. Mullvad enabled, works fine.
