Please confirm my steps before installing Nvidia drivers

So I’m getting ready to enable dedicated Nvidia GPU on my laptop Acer Aspire VX with Linux Zen - so far I was using only integrated Intel.

Can you please take a look on steps I plan to execute, before I will go into configuration hell?:

My config:

Device-1: Intel HD Graphics 630 driver: i915 v: kernel
  Device-2: NVIDIA GP107M [GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile] driver: N/A
Device-3: Chicony HD WebCam driver: uvcvideo type: USB
  Display: server: X.Org v: 21.1.11 with: Xwayland v: 23.2.4 driver: X:
loaded: modesetting dri: iris gpu: i915 resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz
  API: EGL v: 1.5 drivers: iris,swrast platforms: x11,surfaceless,device
  API: OpenGL v: 4.6 compat-v: 4.5 vendor: intel mesa v: 23.3.4-arch1.2.1
renderer: Mesa Intel HD Graphics 630 (KBL GT2)
API: Vulkan v: 1.3.276 drivers: intel surfaces: xcb, xlib

My understanding is I need to:

I should also have nvidia-settings to switch between Nvidia GPU and Intel GPU.

I do not want to use bumbelweed.

In case of startup problems I should start following this:
https://discovery.endeavouros.com/nvidia/nvidia-optional-enhancements-and-troubleshooting/2021/03/

Is this correct? Shoud I install some mesa / vulkan specific for Nvidia as well separately?

Can you first share the full output of inxi -Fxxxz, cat /etc/kernel/cmdline and pacman -Q | grep nvidia?

That isn’t for switching. It is the tool for changing nvidia settings.

There are many alternatives to switching the GPU, see for example this.

There is nothing in pacman installed packages with nvidia - I tried to keep my system Nvidia free so far.

Yes, star by installing the drivers via nvidia-inst
