was this really after installing Davinci? or after switching GPU drivers? because changing from nouveau to nvidia will change display identfiers.
like HDMI-0-0 changing to HDMI-0 …
This is causing plasma and others using these ids to reset display setups in a way in your case could be the taskbar was configured on starting session before on nouveau drivers and it sets it to show on HDMI-0-0 but now with nvidia driver the same display is named HDMI-0…
I am not a plasma user but should be possible to find the config and change the display identifier… you can get your current one from running xrandr in terminal…
Hi @joekamprad
Thanks for the reply, err I installed the drivers & rebooted, desktop fine, default wallpaper on one screen, I changed it back to the one I like, and as far as I remember the taskbar was there. I rebooted again the icon for Davinchi is top of the right screen(primary) where it should be.
I have run xrandr in terminal confused there are a lot of optional flags err I have unplugged briefly both cables and repluged them in, away to try a reboot.
Thanks, I went looking for that both yay and paru must be a typo or something I spent 5/10 min trying different combinations.
Hi @joekamprad I cant show it, I can up it to pastbin as a text file Iam onArch. The comp thinks it has three displays/desktops. I have managed to move the taskbar to primary via the options here in plasma. https://pastebin.com/Y7iK1e4i
@xircon Thanks for that(typo), err see above image for the state of my desktops not sure yet there maybe a way to delete DP-2(disabled) I will have to explore the options.
Edit : Link added. also cant see an option to delete display from that dialog hohum.
the display (DP-2) should not be there… its shown in the same way in xrandr output…
I do just build/install davinci here but on xfce4 and I saw a glitch on installing it all displays gone blinking and came bac after a second so it does something to the system on installing it…
way pretty strange tool …
I find it in editing mode for the panel…
As you can see it shows the wallpaper on the display that is disabled same as for you and the order of the displays is not changeable i can only move the panel to another display… and in can move the panel also to the disabled display
my xrandr looks like so:
xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 3840 x 1080, maximum 16384 x 16384
HDMI-0 connected primary 1920x1080+1920+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 598mm x 336mm

where you can see that the panel tool show displays in exactly the followup as xrandr shows… same for your output… so the only thing you could do is to change the plugs for your displays to sort them better… like put the left into DP-0 and the right into DP-1
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 3840 x 1080, maximum 32767 x 32767
DVI-D-0 disconnected primary (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
HDMI-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-1 connected 1920x1080+1920+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 1600mm x 900mm
DP-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-3 connected 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 580mm x 320mm
now you have one in DP-1 and the second in DP-3 so the disabled port DP-2 is in between the two enabled ones …
