There is nothing to know really lol. It’s just a thing KDE user do here. Maybe because every iteration of KDE Plasma is often better and improves stuff or just for the kick / fun of it.

I just can’t help feeling that something nefarious is happening with governments and open source and in the end we’ll all be screwed in some way over it.

I think they have enough time and resources now to do some legislation about free software, in times the net is not neutral anymore they cannot lose the opportunity to help their fellow friends, the big techs, to make us pay for something!

So here’s the thing about Plasma, - there are features and improvements that get thrown in with almost every release, like Dolphin shortcut navigation for panels, meaning you don’t have to touch your mouse at all when using the file manager. Or the animations being unlocked from only showing at 60Hz, making them butter smooth. There are usually some great Quality of Life additions with each release that do genuinely make it exciting to see them come in

Thunar has had full keyboard navigation as far as I can tell. I don’t really care for keyboard only usability for a file manager, but I guess it’s nice that Plasma finally got that too.
