System Settings > Appearance > Launch Feedback
Do you set no feedback?
Edit: Oh ya 100% difference!
Thanks!
That’s the first thing I do, whenever I try KDE ( yeah, it happens
).
Yes - I found it irritating anyway.
One day you’ll stick with it ![]()
This is kind of my feeling also how this person puts it.
Edited:
Is that the link you intended?
No … sorry i just need to find it again and I’ll change it.
Yes, there’s a lot of sense in that post.
If I had a basic laptop with only one drive (and a small one at that), I’d consider Gnome. Otherwise it’s KDE all the way.
Horses for courses, as the saying goes ![]()
That day is in my past, believe me ![]()
Perhaps when KDE 007 comes out, I would reconsider ![]()
5.26 broke my weather widget. Seems the space given for the display of the forecast now is limited.
But at least workspace switching with the mouse wheel works again.

I wanted to install a weather widget for the first time, but I couldn’t find one in the mini programs offered. Did you have that loaded in addition? Nor the timer, which is advertised as new.
I “installed” the weather widget via right click on the control panel and selecting “add widget”.
J.
Ok, so I did not miss it, by default there is none, thank you.
weather widget … but I couldn’t find one in the mini programs offered. … Nor the timer
Have you installed kdeplasma-addons?
I’m using plasma5-applets-weather-widget-2 from the AUR, which has been updated for Plasma 5.26.
Have you installed kdeplasma-addons?
nope … I take this: plasma5-applets-weather-widget-2
They say Wayland works the best on Gnome. It’s working pretty good on KDE as far as I’m concerned.
