Plasma 5.25 release

Is plasma 5.25 up to date on endeavour? There doesn’t seem to be an update for me.

It’s in the testing repos on arch now, give it a few days and it’ll be available. If you ever want to check what packages are available you can easily check here

I used to do this until I learnt a bit more how the repos worked in arch

Why this hurry? You’d better be glad that your boxes are running well at the moment! The bugs will come soon enough …

They just make things interesting, one thing I will be doing before applying this update will be to revert the themes back to the default breeze

How can you not wait for this?:

" Floating Panels add a margin all around the panel to make it float, while animating it back to look normal when a window is maximized".

I for one am looking forward to being a KDE floater…

Well, it’s still better when Plasma floats and flows than when GNOME jerks along tenaciously … :upside_down_face:

Looks like it has some nice features coming to it too

Biggest feature for me is optimization on window display. Basically, KWin doesn’t render windows that are obscured by other windows anymore. Which will be great as running many windows causes the DE to lag atm.
