Yeah Nawlins is always burning up this time of year (lived there myself for 7 years)
We are about 3hrs west of Nawlins’ in the Lafayette area.
The humidity is a bigger problem at those high temperatures. I live in an area that is typically 10% most of the year unless we get the needed moisture from rain. High humidity and heat is unbearable.

My Dad once sent my family and I a series of drunken messages and photos from a time he went for a night out. Every message was gold, but one in particular was “don’t worry, I’m out on the lash, in the middle, but I have my tomatoes”, with a photo of a bag of tomatoes he must have brought with him and just started eating at this bar or whatever. To be “out on the lash”, for people who’ve not heard the expression, means to go out drinking and partying.
Since then, we’ve honoured that memory with photos from any trip or event, with a tomato in frame, and the caption “mid lash tomatoes”. I’ve been lucky enough to visit the High Tartras this year, so here is a mid lash tomato. I invite other mid lash tomatoes.
When I checked yesterday morning before 10:30 Daylight Stupid Time the humidex had already reached 41°C / 106°F with the dew point a tropical-like 25°C / 77°F. Didn’t even bother to check this morning since it is supposed to be more of the same for at least a four day stretch.

Less that 2 weeks a go our day time highs were only 17C, now there 31C with all the mosquitoes and flies to go with the temperatures. Night time lows went from 5C to 20C,
This is why I am a night person, temperature way better plus a lot less people
Yikes. . . . those sativa s are pretty large in size. . . . the trunks and branches are quite lengthy and long.I’ve got 2 . . . indica’s growing now. . . going on 10 wks in veg. and they are developing nice trunks and branches . They are being trellis net ‘low stress’ branch trained now. The flowering will take about 8 wks to complete when I start that process. Happy growing. . .

The sour Diesel is the only Sativa I have right now the other one( or two) is a Hybrid (Runtz) at 50%/50%
Latest landscaping project. The trumpet vine is planted (on the right, obscured by shadow). Waiting on our Peggy Martin rose to arrive at the nursery. That will get planted on the left.
Built the trellises yesterday; got them installed this morning. Hot and humid here; need to get everything done before noon if possible.
