Bryce was also the name of very early ray-tracing software, IIRC.

Edit: appears they still exist: https://www.daz3d.com/bryce-7-pro

Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryce_(software)

I think I tried out one of the earliest versions.
I was younger then.

Indeed. I used it back in 1999, although we referred to it as Bryce3D. It was particularly good at generating landscapes in its day.

Love the orange sun and the light reflection off the snow. . . . a cold environment.

Rich

Cold can be beautiful too. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

are you from basel ?

Flying squirrel using the birdhouse again this winter:

Lovely shot. Look at that little guy! Some peanuts for him?

There is a stash of walnuts and hickory nuts in the birdhouse. I went to clean it out for spring and found her (?) in there. I say her because the last time the flying squirrels nested in there, it was mom and 2 pups.

Clearing the last of the trees damaged from hurricane Helene:

Checking if i can fix the display my self, not that hard .

4 screws and a cable…now i need to order a new display for this old notebook

Symptoms: Only the 2 corners gives issues, plugged behind hdmi not a single issue.

Our sauna renovation is finally complete. It took over month and half to get this done, but now it’s ready. (After the wax that was used to treat the benches is completely dry tomorrow that is)

Luckily housing company paid the bills (there was a heat leak on the structure and it caused freezing of our shower and since it’s structural thing it’s on their field). :houses:

Reason it took so long was partly because it was challenging to pinpoint the heat leak causing freezing and partly because of carpenters, who reminded me more than once about these guys:

But tomorrow we can finally go to sauna! :man_in_steamy_room:

Pat & Mat are Epic :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Congratulations with your renovated sauna.

My little project at home

The water gets this high in my basement.

Another panorama showing vertical heights. . . . Capital Reef Park, Utah. . . a 3 mile canyon with high sandstone rock walls.

Rich

The inscription on the door: “No unauthorized entry”
