Papirus Icons don't replace standard ones on KDE's menu

Hi guys!

I installed paripus icon pack via pacman and everything applied smoothly, but somehow menu with apps applied only some of papirus’es icons (as shown on screenshot)

How can I fix it?

P.S I use base Arch installation, not EOS

For the future, it’s “pure Arch” or “base Arch”, not “clear Arch”.

As far as icon themes are concerned, there are very few icon themes that are truly “full icon themes”, so some icons may just be a duplicate of the Adwaita icon theme, which is the base icon theme on Arch, I believe.

If you like it enough, try the Tela icon theme instead. It may replace most of what you need.

Didn’t know it, thanks for correcting me

The Arch package for the Papirus icon theme uses the last formal release (which was May last year). This issue has been resolved in later commits, so remove papirus-icon-theme and install either papirus-icon-theme-git from the AUR, or use the Papirus Installer script from here - https://github.com/PapirusDevelopmentTeam/papirus-icon-theme?tab=readme-ov-file#papirus-installer

It worked, thanks!

Just a heads-up that the underlying reason why this was happening in the first place, has been reverted for Plasma 6.3. The visually impaired among us are incredibly grateful… I’ve been using Papyrus in the mean time, and the cascading menu instead of Kickoff.
