Pamac-aur-git build error "fatal: No current branch"

Fixed, but not with your help. That’s bad. Let me manage my git package the way I want to. This is the first mistake I made in years on my PKGBUILDs.

Issue closed for me. @antec1, just try again now.

Issue fixed. You can build it / update it without problem. I made a mistake, @jonathon pointed it but did not tell me on how to fix it easily.

I really appreciate help between people in the Free Software world nowadays. Too bad I don’t have the money to go into Apple world.

Sorry for the last sentence, I’m just a little upset by some behaviours.

I can confirm it is working. I just did an install in v-box. :+1:

I’m just an Archlinux user since 2009.

Quick? I’ve done my best. I’m far from being a git wizard. More a git beginner to be honest.

Funny why I can’t update it on my laptop.

1. pamac-aur-git: 10.0.3.r0.gbfa5409-2 ==> 10.0.3.r0.gbfa5409-3

Weird. I fixed this yesterday. Did you clean your build cache with yay -Sc?

Oops, pardon my ignorance, this did the trick.
Thanks, Fred.

Your ignorance? Well, you did not need this trick before. Glad to read all is OK now.

Without knowing what you did that would be difficult. I’m also not sure how it’s up to me to fix a problem you created…

However, I’d have assumed it would likely have been something along the lines of:

git checkout master
git add .
git commit

so generally pretty straightforward.

Which behaviours, exactly?

Fixed my PKGBUILD with a git switch master command. I have to use stack overflow to find my solution.

Behaviours? Just make an educated guess and you’ll find. Anyway, this is old story now. But I really think there are bad behaviours in Free Software world… As bad as the shape of GNU/Hurd vs Linux
