Our upcoming STS-134 release will be our final one

Somebody please slap these people in the face!!!

I just noticed this announcement today and got nervous! Until I saw eos-to-win11

EOS-to-Win11-tool nailed it.
I almost got convinced xD

Considering I just moved to EndeavourOS from Manjaro, one week ago I almost died except when the EOS-to-Win11 was given as an option !!!

I had no clue it was April 1st on April 1st, lotsa people fooled me and I JUST read this post today…my heart sunk more and more as I read it.

This is the FIRST Linux that has ever just worked…I wipe my media server yesterday.

I installed:

Debian Trixie 13 = nightmare getting NVIDIA driver installed = I was left with a flashing cursor

Fedora 43 = nightmare getting NVIDIA driver installed = I was left with a flashing cursor

Linux Mint = nightmare getting NVIDIA driver installed = I was left with a flashing cursor
(sadly, I told people for YEARS that Linux Mint was the way to go if coming from Windows to Linux-now I tell them Endeavour or Cachy OS-Linux Mint has digressed from it’s starting intent of easy for the users. Mint should have an Arch-Based choice - they’d be very popular again if they could make an Arch based Linux Mint)

Either way, you can imaging my growing horror as I read this post.

You bastards  :joy:

Well I did that on my wife’s laptop recently. Imagine her reaction if I tell her need to change to other OS again :fearful:

Btw, welcome to the forum @sbk :enos_flag:

Misery loves company my friend–wish you were here–I have my scotch out now–morning be dammed–it’s 1PM somewhere in the world!

I was suspicious over this: EOS-to-Linux-tool - An easy-to-use tool to convert your EOS system to any Linux distro without losing data,

after agreeing to our paywall.

BUT I had no clue until I saw the second post…

Thank you !
It was like WTH, I just moved!!!
I dont regret using Manjaro, but my decision few years ago was always Arch: this is one step further in that direction!

Welcome to EndeavourOS.

I might go to Arch someday, when I learn a LOT more.

EndeavourOS just works.

@sbk , @MyNameIsRichard

I also came from Manjaro. I switched to EndeavourOS last April because I wanted to understand the differences between Debian-based and Arch-based distributions. I got to know that EndeavourOS offers a near vanilla Arch experience without the complexity of the installation process. The rest is history :slightly_smiling_face:

You do know manjaro is arch based too ?

Yes, I’m aware of it :slightly_smiling_face:

Edit:
Apologize for the missing context from my earlier comment. I’ve started my linux journey with Ubuntu then Linux Mint. Manjaro is my first arch based but I’ve read somewhere that they hold packages for testing in 2 weeks. So EndeavourOS is the closest to vanilla arch experience that I can get.

Had a loud laugh at this one, thank you sir!

When will the STS-134 be released ? I am already waiting for 6 days because i want to transfer over to Windows 11 using the EOS-to-Win11-tool.

Soon.
