Our upcoming STS-134 release will be our final one

Our predecessor, Antergos, started their journey in 2012 and ended the project in May 2019. Antergos built an impressive community around them, and when they ended their project, we were more than eager to build a new home for that community.
I think it is fair to say that we have succeeded in achieving that goal. After almost seven years, we are going to bow out of the Linux stage and pursue our own projects.

We understand that this decision comes as a shock to you, but we are not going to leave you empty-handed.
STS-134 was the last mission of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, so we thought this mission name was the best name to give it to our final release.

What can you expect from STS-134

As I already stated, we’re not going to leave you empty-handed; the devs are going to make sure you can transition without any hassle.

  • EOS-to-Win11-tool (Preferred method) An aesy tool to convert your EOS system to Windows 11, after purchasing a Windows 11 licence through our tool. Our tool will include a Microsoft Office Pro license. A separate Windows license won’t work, btw.

  • EOS-to-Linux-tool - An easy-to-use tool to convert your EOS system to any Linux distro without losing data, after agreeing to our paywall.

  • EOS-to-Arch-tool - As the name explains, this is a tool to convert your running EndeavourOS system into Arch Linux. EVERY USER RUNNING ENDEAVOUR HAS TO PERFORM THIS TOOL Every EndeavourOS system has a Disable tool buried deep in the code, which was activated with the recent kernel update (6.19.10-arch1-1). If the tool isn’t performed before 1 July 2026, the system won’t be able to retrieve updates. This service is free of charge; you only have to fill in the mandatory fields to provide your name, address, zip code, phone number, country, email, date of birth, marital status, favourite film and favourite colour.

The donations we have received will be divided among projects that are backed by our dear friends from Google, Meta, Facebook and X.

The STS-134 release will be dropped on 21 May, the seventh anniversary of Antergos ’ discontinuation…

Thankfully I’d just read a warning to new & young journalists about being taken in by press releases tomorrow, so I spotted it just from the topic title

Middle of the afternoon March 31 here so this was confusing until I got to the part where the author of the post stated; ā€œEOS-to-Win11-tool (Preferred method)ā€. Then a very bright light came on…

1- You had me. It’s still March 31st here so seeing this on Twitter out of the blue WHILE AT WORK literally made me have no air for 5 seconds.

2- It’s funny to see this post is literally half-assed and even has ā€œLicenseā€ written 2 different ways. Seems like it was done with AI XD which is funny on itself.

I just switched to EOS a week ago. It’s still March 31 here. You nearly killed me.

Which is to say I love this distro already. Thanks for your great work. I’ll be picking myself off the floor now…:upside_down_face:

Oh sh… I almost fell for it, I was like: Dude, I just installed it a few weeks ago, come on.

Good one!

I cant wait to give the 3rd party app ALL of this because thatā€™ā€˜s how I roll. I will install Chrome just to be sure. I’m type O-negative. a Capricorn, and I made out with my friend’s wife at a Journey concert in ā€˜93. I need the app to know it’s me.

WIN 11 here I come!!! Viva Cortana!

That’s what I ever hoped for coming up soon, thank you, unknown programmer!
I just missed the cute dog. Maybe it’s aboard at the STS-134.

You really had me going for a minute there lmao

The EOS-to-Win11-tool was weird and suspicious, but a sudden and shameless sellout still felt plausible enough at first glance. That sucks; oh well, time to move to arch…

But the paywall in the EOS-to-Linux-tool was just too much to believe xD
