only… and only the livesession and the offline install option is changed … you can still install XFCE4 with the online installer same as before… offline install is not the default… it is a fallback option in case of issues with online installs only.

That’s great to hear. I have a similar system and want to install endeavor with plasma on it

Kinda like the BSD installation right? I don’t know if they’ve gotten any better with the installation via text method but it was a headache in my opinion.
I never tried it… considering I am just a casual user, using something like EndeavourOS is already enough for me xd
I sure hope it’s not going to be your main system? Not that it won’t work, but man are the newer processors, platforms, NVME’s… so much faster with heavier work loads. 
Otherwise on the Athlon box, which is more for storing backups of backups, and a little general use like web browsing, office work and that sort of thing when I’m in that room, my EOS and Plasma ere still responsive, apps load great… faster than I can react to stuff half the time. 
I guess Xfce can still be installed afterwards. On older hardware, Plasma is obviously more resource-intensive than Xfce. Anyway, why did you choose Plasma over Gnome?
If you use the online installer, you can install Xfce without installing KDE. For your other question, my crystal ball is broken.
Actually, when I needed it maybe a couple of times and I downloaded the installer, I always only found the offline version. As far as I remember, I only came across an online installer during the very first installation, because I remember that it was possible to choose what else to install in addition to the packages installed by default.
The same ISO the same installer only an option to choose after clicking the button to install from welcome application.
