Have you tried it @ 120Hz instead of 144Hz.

Try
xset -dpms
Edit: Does that turn off DPMS?
It does yes, but still nothing
Not sure if xset dpms turns it back on?
Edit: Actually it’s xset +dpms
Thanks
I really think I will just leave this all, I don’t think I’ll get it working, I’ll just save up and build a desktop and will make sure all the parts are fully supported by Linux.
Thank you @ricklinux and everyone for helping me, I really do appreciate it so much!

I just wanted to check back with you on your MSI Monitor not waking from sleep mode. Are you sure you checked all the settings. On the OSD Menu of your monitor go to settings and there should be a check box for deep sleep. You want to turn that off.
I also have this problem. I believe the problem is with NVIDIA driver. Came here looking for the solution but I think I will also just switch to the AMD card.
My setup is
AMD Ryzen-5 5600X
Asrock B550 Motherboard
Nvidia 1030 Graphics card
Endeavour OS with 5.14.8 Kernel
Thanks
