I notice that graphic-intensive programs such as gaiasky are jerky.

my understanding of drivers is very limited. so would it be possible for someone to explain to me how to change drivers or how to find the best (smoothest) for my system?

Your output doesn’t look much different than mine.

Why does your output have the brackets? {}

Here is mine:

[ricklinux@eos-plasma ~]$ ls /usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/
radeon_icd.i686.json radeon_icd.x86_64.json
[ricklinux@eos-plasma ~]$

i dont know.

Maybe because of the different terminal zsh?

already possible. but its the same with fish

fish

I’m just using konsole on kde.

it is with me also konsole

Strange? I just wondered why the different output.

Ok thanks, just updated but the brackets are still there. will probably not be a error

I don’t know if it’s an error? I just wondered why it shows different than my output. It could have something to do with your laptop being hybrid? I thought maybe it was a different terminal. I wouldn’t worry too much unless you have some issue. I was just curious why it is different output.

no, this is an LG desktop monitor. DE is plasma and I use console as terminal

everything looks fine. the reason for the topic was to see if i have installed everything correctly. i have learned an insane amount about linux here on the forum but i am very unsure when it comes to video drivers, thats why i started this topic. but as it looks everything is ok

that should mean issue.
please keep in mind that english is not my native language, so i have to translate some things
please excuse me if you have misunderstood me

i have an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics in use. it is with integrated graphics

Oh okay …
