One small step for endeavourOS, one large step for me 🫡

Hello there!

I am moderately new to Linux, so I decided to install EndeavourOS on an old MacBook air. Everything went well and I used the ML4W dotfiles from mylinuxforwork/dotfiles: The ML4W Dotfiles for Hyprland - An advanced and full-featured configuration for the dynamic tiling window manager Hyprland including an easy to use installation script for Arch based Linux distributions. (github.com). So far it’s all good!

peace,
plasma

Hello @plasma!

I am happy that you have joined the EndeavourOS Collective.

Edit Offtopic:

To @UncleSpellbinder Can you make a wallpaper with a purple Borg cube for me please? Like a EOS “Borg” Cube :smiley:

Did you install a desktop on EndeavourOS before the ML4W for Hyperland?

No, I just used the “No desktop” setting during the installation process.

I’ll see if I can come up with something this weekend.

@shadow359, got home from a long evening at work… opened a nice cold IPA, found a great image to manipulate and transform. Should have something soon. :vulcan_salute:

@UncleSpellbinder

Please don’t stress about it. If it’s not at the weekend then in the near future.

Thank you for your efforts! :vulcan_salute:

I’m on a roll. Almost done! :crazy_face: :vulcan_salute:

Hi @plasma and welcome! It’s cool that you made Endeavouros work on your old Macbook Air. I wanted to install it on my old MBP from 2010, but it wouldn’t even boot from the usb stick. Works great on my LG notebook though. Have fun around here :+1: :enos: :beers:
