Odroid N2+ : Clockspeeds and shutdown menu problems

Well simply put, if I tried clicking on the power menu button, it simply didn’t do anything…
I don’t think the application modules (terminal, filemanager etc) where working too…
They show up in i3blocks, but they don’t respond

Sadly can’t test it anymore now though, because I’ve since then copied over my dotfiles from my previous distro

needs 3 clicks to open…
But seems also not valid anymore… here it is working as it should now, one click works, but if cursor have focus on window yo need to click two times (one to focus the block-panel and one to open the app)

do you change boot.ini?

Oh yes, forgot to mention… i copied over the boot.ini from my archlinuxarm install… not much has changed, i think it’s just the part about the clock speeds:

# Maximum CPU frequency of ARM A73
# N2: 500/667/1000/1200/1398/1512/1608/1704/1800 (Stock)/1908/2004
# N2 Plus: 500/667/1000/1200/1398/1512/1608/1704/1800/1908/2016/2100/2208 (Stock)/2304/2400
#
# Maximum CPU frequency of ARM A53
# N2: 100/250/500/667/1000/1200/1398/1512/1608/1704/1896 (Stock)/1992
# N2 Plus: 500/667/1000/1200/1398/1512/1608/1704/1800/1908 (Stock)/2016
if test "${variant}" = "n2_plus"; then
    setenv max_freq_a73 "2400"
    setenv max_freq_a53 "2016"
else
    setenv max_freq_a73 "1800"
    setenv max_freq_a53 "1896"
fi

mine is already set with overclocked values, so just put back the stock clocks if you don’t want any overclocking

Have you heard anything from HardKernel yet on a replacement Odroid N@+ ?
I see https://ameridroid.com/collections/single-board-computer/products/odroid-n2-plus
is currently shipping new product, so it seems they have a new batch available.

Wish you the best on this situation.

After another prod four months later, the reseller says that HK reported that there’s nothing wrong with the board (even though there is) so they will send a new/replacement one out if I send them a £15 “inspection charge” and £9 to cover the shipping to HK. Or, they will refund the whole order (that they asked me to send back to them in its entirety) less the eMMC and reader (which they claim I did not send them, even though I did).

So, something doesn’t add up.

If there’s nothing wrong with the board, why did I send it back, and why send a new one? What happened to the eMMC and reader? If I pay them the extra £25 will they send those back to me too or are they “lost”? :man_facepalming:

More emails required.

Sounds like a bad situation. I am starting to loose my faith in HardKernel.

Any news on the story?

They eventually sent out a replacement unit along with all of the other parts that I sent back to them (in the same box I sent it back, so they managed to locate the “missing” items…). It has been sat on my desk for a while because I lost enthusiasm to play around with this after however many months of emailing and waiting around.
