Hi everyone, my EOS with Nvidia 4060 laptop has always been fine, then I did this massive update hours ago, reboot just to find my external display is no longer connected and main laptop screen stuck at 800x600.
I first tried sudo downgrade linux from 6.18.4 to 6.18.3 with sudo downgrade nvidia-open-dkms from 590.48.01-2 to 590.48.01-1 and rebooted, but the problem stays.
Then I tried sudo nvidia-xconfig and rebooted, this time I stuck at “Reached target Graphical Interface.”, had to detele the xconfig file to reboot.
I’ve been using EOS as my first distro for 2 months, this is the first time I ran into a big issue, please any help is appreciated!
update: after switching to nvidia-open-lts things seem to be working again, but the performance is noticeably worse, when should I be able to safely switch back to proprietary driver?
