The latest NVIDIA package 565.77-11 broke my system! It wouldn’t even make it to the log in screen! Just kept freezing before getting there. I managed to fix it by arch-chroot into the system, using the endeavoros live USB image and downgrading the NVIDIA 565.77-11 package. I was trying to use eos-shifttime in the arch-chroot environment but, it wouldn’t work. kept getting an error that wouldn’t let it run. If anybody knows how to run eos-shifttime in the arch-chroot environment, please tell me how its done. Fortunately I remembered that nvidia was one of the last four packages that were updated, and figured it was probably the problem! Is there a command that show what the last updated packages were? I was glad that the downgrade command worked!
you can check in /var/log/pacman
can you provide part mothertboard /cpu / gpu
inxi -Fza
Can you show your command and the full output in detail?
Yes, it is package pahis
that probably is not installed by default so you need to install it first. Also other similar packages exist. For example:
pahis --upgraded
Alternatively you can look at file /var/log/pacman.log
which contains the same info.
BTW, I’m using nvidia 565.77-11 without issues.

Tried to update the linux kernel and linux-headers to 6.12.9, and it did the same thing to me. Had to do the same thing to downgrade those packages to get back into my system. I edited the pacman.conf file to ignore nvidia linux and linux-headers for now.
I have no issues on nvidia either with Wayland using GTX 1060.
Ok, I got the pahis package and used pahis --upgraded. I was a little confused at first because I was looking at the bottom of the list instead of the top and was not seeing the latest installed packages. But, I understand how its organized now. Thanks!
