Nvida GPU not taking costume edid

i was trying to add virtual monitor by faking a edid file base on this topic

Virtual Monitor for sunshine

Good morning, I was trying to set up gaming to my TV vis sunshine and moonlight. Under windows I have the application Virtual Display Driver to set up a virtual monitor and shutdown my monitor in the other room and play relaxed from the couch. But as always, i try to get rid of windows and find a solution that works for me under linux. I don’t know how to set up virtual monitor under linux. the fake second monitor appears in system-settings but i cant change the resolution

/proc/cmdline also shows that is taking my parameters i added

when checking the edid file for my nvidia card returs nothing
cat /sys/class/drm/card1-DP-2/edid

when i check my real monitor plugged in HDMI-A-1 it returns the content of the file
cat /sys/class/drm/card1-HDMI-A-1/edid
could this be related to my problem?

fixed!!!
turns out the edid i used was broken.
The easiest way to get a working edid is to make a costume one using AW EDID Editor, is windows only but works perfectly on wine
