Just installed EOS on my laptop for the 6th time. inputs worked fine before then but now they suddenly don’t work. I can use my internal laptop keyboard + track pad but my USB keyboard and mouse (mouse is plugged into a hub) won’t work. I have a ASUS TUFF F17. please help!
Does the issue persist when the keyboard and mouse are connected directly ?
Yes.
Have you upgraded your BIOS recently? I’m asking because sometimes the default settings aren’t always good.
What dies lsusb
show?
I’m not home right now. but I’ll update you tomorrow.
there aren’t any updates for me to do. the last bios update was in 2022.
Just checking @woolium, as you’ve marked this topic “Solved”. Are you still having the issue?
yes
Are you able to un-mark the solution then. I suspect people are less likely to visit your topic if it’s “Solved”.
@MyNameIsRichard suggested this, could you share the output of lsusb
please:
lsusb
Are you able to test your mouse or keyboard with a different type of USB port? For example, if it’s connected to the USB-A port (full size), are you able to try connecting it to a USB-C port (or visa-versa)? An adaptor or hub may be needed for that.
I will, when I’m home. I’m connecting my keyboard and mouse through USB A.
