I replaced pulseaudio with pipewire but when i reboot no sound icon appears …
Please post the output of inxi -Fxxxza --no-host
from a terminal.
Also return
journalctl -p 3 -xb
I’m back on pulseaudio now. Do you want me to switch to pipewire again and post the results ?
Did you get the volume icon back? Yes post the information anyway. No pictures copy and paste the output from terminal here and use threee ``` above and below the output.
Yes … i rolled back with Timeshift …
Please post the requested output. Next time instead of making such a rash choice of rolling back with timeshift ask first. All you needed to do was reinstall pulseaudio
. it would have asked if you wanted to remove pipewire and you would be in the same positition as now with less hastle.
If you were just going up rollback using timeshift, why even bother making this thread in the first place? There’s nothing to help you with anymore.
I remove pulseaudio with sudo pacman -Rcns pulseaudio. Is that allright ?
No for many reasons not on topic for this thread. One more time then please post the output I asked you for. Nothing else before we continue.

So three ``` on top and bottom i have fixed it agin for you.
You have both pulse audio AND pipewire installed.
Yeah, i can see that. Must i do something ? System seems to work …
Yeah, don’t know how you got both pulseaudio and pipewire installed. That’ll probably cause problems and needs to get fixed even if it’s working now. So the next question is which system do you want? Then we can get it cleaned up.
