I’m not sure what category to put this under, I am new.
What package does EndeavourOS usually use for handling audio devices using a normal install? I have done a clean install on a pc, and clicked “No Desktop” and removed the eos-themes package. Once it booted at the terminal i logged in and installed “plasma” and “kde-applications” to get a pure vanilla experience. After enabling and starting sddm and re-logging in im now at the desktop. Everything is great!
But when i click the speaker icon on the system tray, i get “No output or input devices found.” On further inspection, when i click “Configure audio devices” (using the settings button on the speaker icon popup window) it takes me to the sound settings in the main settings menu for KDE. All devices are there and the audio works fine.
How do i get the devices to appear in the popup window for the speaker icon? I would reinstall and just use the default install settings to check what package is missing, but I figured other users like me would find it easier to just search for the answer online. Since i havent found the answer online, i figured id come straight to you all and ask for help.
Thanks in advance!
