No mouse after update

Hi All,

I hope I’ve chosen the right section. The problem is this: I reorganized my desktop computer and now Endeavour has its own hard drive. :slight_smile:

I recently finished the installation and update, but now the mouse no longer works; it moves jerkily but is unusable. Searching for information, I found something about the firmware/Nvidia update. I knew about the problem but ignored it during the update because I thought it had been fixed. I ran the commands

$ sudo pacman -Rdd linux-firmware
$ sudo pacman -Syu linux-firmware.

The system completed the update, but after rebooting, the mouse no longer works, and I don’t know what to do.

Maybe the only solution is to wait for the next update?

Thank you for your attention.

Ciao

Edit

Don’t mind I solve the issue installing again and giving the right input before updating

Edit 2

No, we’re not there yet: I just reinstalled Endeavour from scratch and updated the system after running the two commands above, and when I rebooted, nothing worked. I’ve lost patience; I’ll remove Endeavour, maybe I’ll get back to it in a while.

Best Regards

@Bonheur idk

sudo downgrade linux-firmware

Edit May 3, 2026: I reinstalled Endeavor after a long absence because I saw that Titan was released and I wanted to see if the problem I described in the opening post had been resolved. I can say that it is still present in the Wailand session but everything is fine in the X11 session. I don’t remember if I used X11 when I had Neo.

@Eso: Hi, I honestly don’t remember if I had put your advice into practice with Neo, I think so, but if I did, the problem wasn’t solved.
