New user saying hi

Hi all, I’m new to this awesome distro and only started using Linux 2 months ago. I read loads about the friendly forum support for Endeavour so picked it as my first venture into Arch land. Enjoying pacman as a package manager, I prefer it to apt.

Looking forward to helping Windows 10 migrants to settle in and enjoy their experience in Linux and particularly Endeavour.

Welcome to the community @JBM! :waving_hand::smiley::tada::rocketa_purple:

Welcome to the :enos: forum @JBM :enos_flag:

that’s noble to me. Rock on and welcome.

[my migration was a huge learning curve to wean off one philosophy to an new one. If not for linux people leaping out of the woodwork to help I would not of made it. Now I can configure a WM/TM and still learning.—In other words, kid, leaving MS will be a positive life changing journey whether you know that or not yet. ]

Hello @JBM

Hi @JBM and welcome to the :enos: -Forum!

Hi JBM welcome

Hey JBM, welcome to the forum, it’s a great place to learn about Linux. :enos: :victory_hand:

Hi and welcome to the forum @JBM

Good to have you with us! Having used Linux since the mid 90’s, and permanently shifted since Windows 8, there will always be someone out there who’s on the start of their journey. Wherever we on that path, - we’re all learning, and we all have something to offer.

Hopefully the “scary” has worn off and you feel much more comfortable by now - in my experience it’s worth the effort. Have fun learning!
