I am new to this Forum and very disappointed with the groups acceptance and friendliness.
Yesterday I made my first post “Post install setup of a CLI headless environment” and was shot down. Yes I made a mistake and made my post and then added my post as a comment to a very old post on a similar topic. I accepted that mistake. But to close my post after 2 not so nice replies is total disrespect.
I understand your wariness. I only uploaded it yesterday after I completed my testing to ensure it corrupted nothing. I was excited to share my script. I couldn’t careless whether people use it or not, I posted to share my limited knowledge so people could see what I have done and perhaps learn from it. Even for people to view it and point out my mistakes and possible improvements as I am here to learn as well. I built this script from crawling forums and finally with a little AI help to fill in my knowledge gaps.
I would assume that everyone at this level of OS (Endeavour is not for newbies) would check my code before blindly using it (though I am confident enough that it will do no permanent damage).
If this is the vibe of the forum I’m disappointed and will look elsewhere. I’m not one to say things unless they have some constructive meaning. I hope you learn from this post.
