New m.2 ssd not showing up

I recently bought my first and only ssd. I followed a youtube video and installed it but it isn’t showing up.

It isn’t showing on gparted, neither is showing on the file manager and neither on the bios. I never used a ssd before, so I don’t know if a bought a model that doesn’t work with my mother board or if i installed it wrong, i made sure to check first and thought it would work, but maybe I overlooked something.

my mother board is a TUF B360M-PLUS GAMING/BR and the ssd is a E100N solid state drive.

Your Mobo has 2 M.2 ports, that support different protocolls:
Mobo
SSD
one fo the slots is for SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode, and the other only for PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode.
Your SSD uses SATA.
Make sure your SSD is in the port that supports SATA

Judging by the low quality picture on asus’s website, the one you should be in is the upper one

@Chloe
Check your UEFI settings that the drives are set to SATA.

Edit: Also make sure the SATA mode is set to AHCI and not RAID.

Had no idea about this, thought that since both were m.2 so it would work. You saved me life mate, thank you, truly.

Depends on when the board came out and the price range you were willing to pay. My M.2’s are PCIe 3x and 4x, and the top one is 4x.
