New grub update, r403, is it safe?

New version r403, anyone tried already? Also new mkinitcpio, I am afraid of getting my system unbootable again…
TIA

Update went smoothly here on multiple machines, after the trouble with grub we had earlier this year I always run grub-install and grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg after any grub updates.

Thank you for replying!
As I will need to use the computer later today, I will try to update tonight or tomorrow… Will report after that.

I did the same, although this time I couldn’t find a warning about it during the update. Anyway, everything is running fine.

Coz you are skilled and experienced enough to diagnose and fix stuff if it breaks. Lol.

With or without sudo grub-install?

Without grub-install but with grub-mkconfig

and… YES!!! They fixed it!

This new commit is how it should have been from the start.
Please, don’t make noise about it. We don’t want grub devs to get angry (any more…)

After this lands to computers, you have to re-install grub, as pacman advises during package upgrades.
