Neofetch Xfce logo

Stupid question: if I want to change the ASCII logo to the mouse, what’s it called ?

${HOME}/.config/neofetch/config

Neofetch takes ascii art file

--ascii /path/to/ascii_file

Now let’s see if I bother

It isn’t all THAT difficult or time-consuming. If you can’t find a suitable ascii logo, there are tools for making them. On the neofetch github (I think) is a description of how the colours are encoded, so it’s easy to colourize as well…

Here’s a couple to get you started:

MMMMMMMMWN0koc:,''....'',:cok0NWMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMNOd:,..................,:oONWMMMMM
MMMWXkc,........................,ckXWMMM
MMWOc'...................':;...''.'cOWMM

MMMNkc'...',,;,,''...............'ckNMMM
MMMMWXkl,'....................';lkXWMMMM
MMMMMMMWKko:,'............',:okKWMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMWXOdc:,'...'',;cdOXWMMMMMMMMMM

That one I think is actually for Xubuntu :man_facepalming: but here’s the official XFCE

MMMMMWWNXXNWMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMWWNXXNWWMMMMM
MMMMMMMWWWWMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMWWMMMMMMMM

I didn’t do the colours for these (could if you want, and tell me WHICH you want!)- but they’re easy enough (just add in ${#} where # is the colour number you want).

Colors for the ascii logo can be passed to neofetch directly via the --ascii_colors option with xterm numbers as args.

It can made to look absolutely horrible
