i found through sniffing the web page a reference to

but im not sure how to get that to work

i managed to get the file to sorta play in vlc but it looks a biut like max headroom.

running it in vlc terminal it spits out these endless errors as it plays

I’m not sure if the functionality for multiple providers is actually implemented yet, but a workaround is to edit $HOME/.hypnotix/providers/freeiptv and add this at the top (but below #EXTM3U):

(I’m sure you can find a better logo file/URL…)

It will need to be re-added if the freeiptv provider list is updated, but at this stage of of the application’s development that’s probably OK.

i don’t sctually have a subdirectory for freeiptv but i do have a bunch of files named freeiptv

Hello, Very new to linux and Hypnotix
I am trying to edit the provider list and I do not see the provider file you refer to in the post :frowning: I also do not see a file named freeiptv. Any guidance would be greatly appreicated

@MrT It is not a good idea to “piggyback” on a post that has been marked solved. If you want more people to look at your problem, create a new post.

Finally, right click the freeiptv file and open it using a text editor. That should hold the links to the IPTV channels.
