Need help identifying ssd

I have an image of a ssd drive in my computer. I’m hoping someone can show me the pertinent info that I need to use in order buy a different brand drive.

It doesn’t matter that much what the specs on the existing drive are. What is more important is what the motherboard supports. What is it?

Also, you appear to have an empty gen4 slot right next to the one with the drive in it.

But to answer your question, the drive is PCIe gen4 NVMe drive.

It is M.2 2280 from a size perspective which is the most common size by a wide margin.

Basically, you just need to a look for a gen4 nvme drive.

My intent is to buy a drive for the other slot, but not from Dell. The way Dell describes the drive is a bit confusing. They do mention the manufacturer, and other specs: SSDR,2TB,G44,80S2,KIOXIA,XG8, but I do not what information to use. I should use identical drives should I not?

There’s no need to use identical drives, unless you have some deep knowledge of your intentions that we lack.

I figured it was like ram.

No

It isn’t like RAM. They are completely independent.

I ordered this at 2 tb. Guess I ll see how that goes…

I have 2 of those…seems good to me.

@sempterobit It’s this one (from an expired eBay posting)…

Yes. Thanks. I’ve since found it on the manufacturers site too.

I read somewhere on another site that besides the 512 gb one they are not for retail sale.
At-any-rate, I already ordered something else.
