Over the last week or so, some of my widgets started to break. The only one I can copy an error message from is Minimal Desktop Indicator-
file:///home/wolf/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.plasm6desktopindicator/contents/ui/main.qml:6:1: module "org.kde.plasma.private.pager" is not installed
Fokus, a pomodoro widget I’ve used for years at this point, also stopped functioning but will not give an error message.
Lastly, my application dashboard has been acting up. I can navigate by searching and with my arrow keys, but cannot open an application with the enter key, and have to click the icon instead.
Was there a change in how Arch or the KDE team is packaging Plasma? I haven’t changed anything about my desktop, besides the wallpaper, for almost a year at this point, and up until recently things have been fine.
Edit: forgot to add that I’ve re-installed the widgets in question, and that doesn’t seem to help
I don’t think there are major packaging changes. However, the recently released Plasma 6.6 did break some 3rd party widgets. It is up to the widget authors to make them compatible with 6.6.
As for the Application Dashboard, I don’t think that should be broken. I can test that later when I am at my main machine and see if I see the same issue.
Application dashboard allows me to run a program with the keyboard or mouse. I have to press tab to get myself into the list of applications. I normally just use the mouse so I have no idea if that’s new.
I just tested this myself, and it seems that I still have to manually select an application with tab, from both the recent list and after searching. Going to look for a new launcher if that’s the intended behavior, as before I could select immediately from a search
