My volume widget isn't working in qtile. Getting the error "Widget crashed: MyVolume (click to hide)" in the top bar. I have pavucontrol installed and working. Widgets.py code in comments

Disclaimer: Please dont move my post to the general wm subforum, it’s dead, nobody uses it and I won’t get any replies

Hi!

Any idea how to fix it or remove it or to replace the current topbar with some other qtile top bar (wayland)? Honestly I’m lost.

Cheers

TL;DR: This isn’t a fix. Just a suggestion about how the forum works and how to structure your requests.

Seeing as you requested it, I won’t edit it, however, please make these changes.

No need to put everything in the subject. And it is better for other users searching for a fix with the same/a similar issue.

PS: The categories don’t determine whether or not someone responds. Sometimes the people that see your post title simple don’t know how to fix the issue, or if it’s a long title like it currently is, they may just ignore/mute it. The forum is set to view all posts for me (by not selecting a specific category) and I mute anything I can’t help with. :person_shrugging:

On that note, I can’t help with the actual issue here. Just dropping off a few tips.

Lastly, you don’t need to make any of these changes. It’s just a suggestion.

PS #2: Seeing now that I have told you this tip before in a previous thread. :upside_down_face: :mute:
