doesnt the last line at “Settings” mean that its already set as default?
i think i already did set it as default port once but with a different command.
according to the history i did:

pactl list sinks short

pactl set-default-sink alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-stereo

think that was some random tutorial i found some time ago (i forgot to mention, my bad, i tried many things and didnt write up everything)

that is, if pactl and wpctl do the same thing…

Afaik is pactl still working through the pipewire-pulse bridge, but don’t ask me how much it can be relied on. wpctl is the native wireplumber command.

That means it’s set as default somewhere, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it is picked up by pipewire if it isn’t (deemed) available.

These are the sinks and the one with the * is the current default. If that is the right sink the problem is probably that it isn’t set to Analog Stereo Output/Duplex.
