I updated this morning and just now I noticed the port I had forwareded no longer works, if I go to canyouseeme.org I get connection timed out.
I checked and the rules are still there both in my router and the default firewall EndeavourOS comes with.
Only thing my mind told me to try is delete the rules, apply, restart. Then create the rules again, apply and restart, nothing. So then I tried remaking the rules with another port just for the F’s, still nothing…
Any suggestions how I can start to fix this pretty please, and commands you need me to run and info to give you?
Thank you.
LE: Apparently closing opensnitch and runing sudo systemctl stop firewalld doesn’t change things either, I really have no clue what else to try…
Ok, so to answer your question and also provide some updates:
Nope, it’s not port 80, it’s a random one in the 19k range.
Yesterday I had to dual boot into windows to update the firmware on my new headphones, so while there I decided to check and the forwarded port doesn’t work in windows anymore either…
So at this point I’m not 100% sure anymore it’s because of my updating EOS, thus I looked more closely and it seems my router also updated it’s firmware recently.
So now I’m making an account on the SNBforums to try to continue troubleshooting there. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
