Mt7925 is connecting wifi6 instead wifi7

Mediatek mt7925 is connecting as WiFi 6 only instead of WiFi 7

Windows 11 24h2,
router xiamoi be7000,
WiFi card mt7925,

Hardware - Ryzen 3600xt, mb MSI 450b vhd max

Anyone can suggest what I’m missing here

They both say specs are WiFi 7. How are you able to show it’s connecting as WiFi 6?

this is the eos forum, not windows forum

In connected wifi properties tab it is showing 801ax

I have no experience with WiFi 7. It should be 802.11be. Are you running the 6.12 kernel?

Edit: I think it should be loading as mt7925e module?

Please don’t bring that “Arch -mentality” to these forums.

People are always welcome to ask here, although Windows forums could be more better place for this particular question.

There is no need to be rude.

Not sure how that was rude… Guy seems confused, he’s asking in a place it’s unlikely for him to get an answer and I pointed that out.

Ya i didn’t notice it shows Windows 11 24H2.

I have to agree with @rabcor here. The EndeavouOS Forum is a rather odd place to seek help for what appears to be a Windows issue. Having said that, perhaps there might be someone here able to offer assistance, regardless.

Have you updated drivers? Because sometimes (I assume this is new computer) can come with old drivers and you have to install them by yourself. Back when I was using Windows I had to do this in order to get audio working correctly. This is of course completely different device.
