Mouse cursor stays in resize mode in Dolphin

When I use dolphin, on the left side, there is a bar with shortcuts to my home folder, documents, downloads, music, etc. On the right side of that bar, there is a handle to resize it. If I move my cursor over this resize handle, and then move to the left side onto the bar, the mouse cursor stays in resize mode (cursor looks like this <-|->). This means, that I can’t click anything. After some clicks, the cursor returns to default, and I can click stuff.
If I move the cursor very fast over the handle, this does not happen. Sometimes (I don’t know under what circumstances), this behavior also occurs if I move the mouse to the right side (where the normal file-manager stuff happens).
The same effect happens with the handle for the in Dolphin integrated terminal.
Sorry for my weird formulation. I don’t really know, how to describe this properly.

I have also had this for a few weeks. it occurs whenever I copy a larger file into Dolphin. Seems to last until the background process is finished, only then the cursor goes back to its state.

This doesn’t happen for me on KDE. :man_shrugging:

It’s the same with Manjaro KDE, so it must be related.

I’m running the Kde beta 5.21.90

For me it’s definitely not only while copying large files.

Everything is fine in Dolphin for me. Could it be graphics related? I’m using Intel integrated graphics. Perhaps it’s Nvidia related, or something else?

AMD RX 580, amdgpu, nothing special and until recently it worked fine.

It would be helpful if you could post your hardware specs using the log tool from the Welcome screen.

Could be this one? Seems to be a problem with Breeze style…

I think this is exactly it and i am running the beta version of Kde. I do see it says double or triple click usually brings it back.

I can confirm that with the double or triple clicks.

I’m using Qogir, not Breeze.

Similar hardware as i have. I have run Qogir also and had no issues. I’ll try it again.

Edit: Is it just Qogir icons or something else?

It’s not always happening.
I have everything Qogir, beside the controls. I just noticed that I actually do have Breeze there. So it might be the Breeze thing.

I’m having issues trying to even install Qogir. I was just getting the spinning wheel. Finally it installed.

Screenshot_20210526_161648

Edit: Installed the dark but that’s no good. and it’s not co-operating either.

It is indeed the breeze bug. As proposed in the Bug report, the problem seems to be fixed by switching to Oxygen, as well as by unchecking “Enable extended resize handles” on System Settings->Application Style->Breeze->Configure Style.
