Hi all,
Maybe a very stupid question but is there a tool to configure the sensitivity from the left and right mouse button ? the problem i have is when i select a whole sentence it’s deselecting when i don’t press the left mouse button hard enough. I think the mouse is failing a bit but when i press harder the issue does not arise.
Maybe i can work around it, if not i wait till the button dies and buy a new mouse. I can make a video of it to make it more clear from what i am telling if needed.
If you have a Logitech mouse you can use Solaar to set the dpi value.
Sorry i didn’t write about the mouse specs Trust GXT 165 Celox. I am not talking about dpi, i am talking about a setting to decrease the sensitivity from the left mouse button (if it is possible).
I know, i am talking about number one…not the dpi settings. Hold on i post a video.
Video, still uploading
In the mouse settings i noticed there is also 2 devices listed, when i select the other one the mouse is working too. But the mouse click is not resolved.
Well as I understand it a lower DPI settings means lower sensitivity of the mouse , so the higher the DPI value , the higher the sensitivity. And it might be set to a to high sensitivity, and playing around with the DPI values from low to high might solve your problem. On the other hand this is a Trust mouse , and my experience with a Trust mouse is it will start doing strange things, or even fail on you if it is in use for some time.
Yeah i know, bought it a few years ago because my old logitech mouse died. I always used logitech for the last 20 years. Wanted to give this one a try. Thanks for your answers, will look into it.
Mouse buttons only have an On/Off state. There isn’t sensitivity software can control. That hardware switch is just dying. Except opening the mouse and soldering on a new switch probably not much one can do.
That is what i suspected. Maybe time for a new mouse. Thanks for the answer
Maybe it just needs a clean?
Noth worth it, already watched a video online how it looks inside. Trust is nog a good brand either. Might replace it, only hoped there was software to change the button sensitivity.
Maybe. If pressured air and/or isopropyl alcohol is at hand and we are at the “I’m buying a new mouse otherwise anyway” point: Why not, but I don’t think the chances are very high fixing that switch.
