Missing AUR Packages: pipewire-media-session

I noticed this message about pipewire when I run EOS terminal updater. Any way to remove this pesky warning?

When you update it should ask you to replace pipewire-media-session with wireplumber. Just say yes and the warning should be removed.

Not sure why, but I updated my system this morning and pipewire-media-session was updated as well, with no mention of wireplumber:

$ paclog --package=pipewire-media-session
[2021-12-27T17:42:29-0800] [ALPM] installed pipewire-media-session (1:0.4.1-1)
[2022-05-11T08:22:13-0700] [ALPM] upgraded pipewire-media-session (1:0.4.1-1 -> 1:0.4.1-2)

What did I miss?

It seems it is back in the repos again.

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/pipewire-media-session/

someone might have something more to say about this thing.

I wonder if installing this package will fix my boot problem ?

No it’s not going to fix a boot problem. If you have an issue with booting you need to make a separate topic & post.

Ok will do

Seems they just reverted the change (of removing and replacing pipewire-media-session with wireplumber).

There are quite some threads on the arch bbs about it.
(seems only to be an issue when using pulseaudio; no issues with pipewire + wireplumber for me at least)

Great!
That explains the whole thing!

No issues on my end either. As it stands I see no reason to revert back.

Thank you!

After wreaking havoc earlier :wink: , wireplumber presents itself with a new face:

[2022-05-11T18:52:27+0200] [ALPM] upgraded wireplumber (0.4.10-2 -> 0.4.10-3)

That is just a rebuild to remove the replaces.
