Hello team, I don’t know if this is acceptable (if not please proceed with post closure).
On the installation procedure, on the GNOME Desktop section it would be nice to add the following two packages gvfs-goa & gvfs-dnssd as they are crucial for Nextcloud integration.
Also if possible to remove gnome-terminal and and Ptyxis as it is well integrated in GNOME (GTK4 - adwaita). Personal opinion that one.
The nextcloud integration is just one out of several integrations which need extra packages. E.g. dropbox, mega, amazon S3, onedrive, etc. Most users do not need a nextcloud integration. Why would they want to have gvfs-goa & gvfs-dnssd installed?
Also, the terminal program is an individual choice. I prefer ghostty. You prefer ptyxis. Most gnome users eventually stick to just gnome-terminal.
Long story short, I would not change default package list based on individual preferences.
My proposal is based on seeing gvfs integration for Apple and Google on the default installation. As stated in the original post, just a minor suggestion.
Yes, but this is potentially important for 100 % of the gnome users because it integrates Apple Cloud and Services for iphone users or google cloud and services for Android users.
But Nextcloud is just a niche.
all said already basicaslly, EndeavourOS is providing a very minimal preselection.
This is the first time someone asking for gvfs-goa & gvfs-dnssd from what i know.
And same for terminal, default is kgx (gnome-console) and we have added gnome-terminal as kgx is somehow very limited, and incompatible with our welcome app partly.
Others are also not in by default.
