after installing il-2 sturmovik 1946 successfully on linux through steam, i found our old joystick and gave it a go.
99% of things worked, however the throttle wheel provides absolutely 0 input when the rest of the system seems to work as it should do. Tried going into input settings of the game. every button can give an input successfully but i am unable to map the throttle wheel onto anything, so im unsure what to do.
Running directly through steam which uses a build of proton i believe. Is there something i need to configure with wine?
I have read into https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Gamepad but i have had issues trying to get the correct modules to work with modprobe.
Tested it in game controllers within settings on KDE and it has worked absolutely fine though.
Any advice?
