Metà shortcut works only with default launcher in default panel

Hi all,
I’m configuring a plasma installation but I don’t understand why I cannot use the meta key to open the launcher of my choise. If I use the default panel, even after deleting and re-adding it the meta key open the launcher, but if I use any other launcher, or the default one in another panel (for example in a latte dock panel) even if I manually set the shortcut to alt+F1, as suggested to me in another thread some times ago, the meta key doesn’t open the menu (but if I press alt+F1 it does).

Any idea?

I recently found a solution to this while using Latte dock, and I used Option 2.
