Mate 1.28 = cashing panel applets (solved)

Mate 1.28 just landed in the repo today and upgrading has resulted in broken panel applets. The only applet I use that works currently is the classic menu.

Applets I use that are broken:

clock
notification area
battery
weather
window list

If MATE 1.28 just landed in the repos, then the applets will be updated, if and when the maintainers get around to it. You’ll just have to be patient until then.

As far as I can tell the applets are already at 1.28.

Then, hopefully, 1.28.1 will not be too far behind.

It looks like the mate packages are a mix of 1.28.0, 1.28.1 and 1.28.2 but I have no idea if that’s actually the cause.

Solved by installing dconf-editor.
