MASSIVE update this afternoon [January 10, 2025]

streamdeck-ui is only in the AUR and yes python is a dependency …
Try to rebuild it as mentioned above.

I just installed bauh on one of my PCs. Installation was working fine but running gave the same error as you got. You will have to wait till it is fixed upstream if you want to run in from AUR.

An FYI on trying to replace some from the AUR with their non-AUR versions doesn’t always work.

Yes, I try to rebuild like marteng69 wrote, but it doesn´t work.

For me, the “workaround” for BAUH usable as appimage is o.k.

Not be able to use the Streamdeck is a hard(er) restriction for my workflows…:face_exhaling:

Michael

again 62 new updates… so much fun for one weekend  ,

but now the second try to rebuild streamdeck-ui gives a success

Greetings Michael

Works here too after updating seconds ago.
Using Plasma, x11, nvidia-580xx-dkms.

Completed my re-testing this morning on my two other machines (1 week old and over 3 years old). The issue was self caused (by me :). So I had disabled the firewall-applet by editing the " /etc/xdg/autostart/firewall-applet.desktop" and then using chattr to lock the file from changes. in hindsight this was a bad idea. Lesson learned.

Reminds me of Manjaro updates, not worried about it.

And another 205 packages are waiting to be updated… still on the 6.18.3.zen1-1 kernel, as the ALHP hasn’t been updated yet. Guess I’ll wait a day or two until the x86-64-v3 packages are ready.

been bit in the a** by what I thought were my own brilliant XDG maneuverings as well  . but delegating this to chattr didn’t help either. Lesson learned for sure. Glad you found it.

Got a mesa and vulkan update right now. It never ends

For autostart desktop entries, you can always copy them from /etc/xdg/autostart to ~/.config/autostart; your edits will survive any package updates. Same goes for regular desktop entries - from /usr/share/applications to ~/.local/share/applications.

Yeah, I got also something like 84 updates…

I had to look online but I was reminded of this: checkrebuild

I had nothing that needed rebuilding so no output for me but others may find this useful

I had 206 updates today. I don’t have an NVIDIA GPU and I’m not using anything from the AUR.

OMFGawd enough already. I’m already peeve to the point of wanting to SCREAM. I mean we get the one update for the one lib file that forces us to force rebuild AUR helpers and other apps. then a huge Plasma update, then this causing us to have to wait for updates to AUR programs cause we can’t force rebuild all of them without errors, then another update from KDE, now this. Good thing I shave my head cause I would have pulled all my hair out by now. A fresh install of Garuda that Till there are a lot of fixes for AUR apps I can’t even use. Rant over.

More than 250 packages on my laptop.

Update went well.

No problems, no fuss.

Went ahead and updated all three systems today. All went well. Can put the radiohead backup until the next massive update happens or Spring which ever comes first.

This is definitely not the norm, but if you’re new to KDE on Arch this is something you have to get used to. Python only updates its major releases once a year (3.13 → 3.14, for example). I think a lot of these updates have been sitting around while the devs gathered themselves after the end-of-year holidays.

They will survive package removals as well, so beware.
