Manage Extensions via yay or website?

At the moment I have a bunch of extensions installed via the gnome extensions website. As I have two users on my machine (private and work) I neet to install them “twice”.

I discovered that extra/aur provide extensions as well.

I now wonder if it’s better to use the package manager instead of the website.

What are pros / cons for each of them? What do you prefer?

I would say the cons of using the AUR is that they may not be maintained by the creator of the extension and updates may be behind. I think I would prefer to use the website. Pros of the AUR is that it will update with your system.
Website pros and cons the opposite of above.
