Hello friends,

I’ve bought a new laptop (Macbook Pro 2015 15 inch (Intel Iris Pro + AMD Radeon R9 M370X) and would like to know if there’s anything I need to do beyond the standard setup. My previous windows laptop had a non-working battery and only integrated Intel graphics, so I didn’t install anything special for the battery or for video playback. I’m wondering if I need to install anything for the battery or graphics on this new one (macbook)?

archwiki has it in the list:

depending on the build in wifi device it could need a boot parameter to be added for wifi to work..

But i would go booting ISO may share inxi -Fxxc0z | eos-sendlog if you have network.
With this we can check exactly what hardware is in and if it needs any adjustment.

The laptop most likely has a wireless card from broadcom. So either b43 or wl driver should make it work.

Needs brcmfmac.feature_disable=0x82000 as a kernel parameter for Wi-Fi to work. Broadcom BCM43602 works with the brcm80211/brcmfmac driver included in the kernel by default.
