Lull in updates today or my imagination?

Is it my imagination or is this really a lull in updates? I haven’t seen anything today in so far as updates to software files. . . .is this real or my imagination? I typically update files throughout the day everyday as they pop up. . . almost endlessly so it seems. But today . . . first time that I can remember and nothing. . . I went so far as updating my mirrors to see if something was wrong with them. Maybe a couple hundred files around the corner are waiting to be released. . . I wouldn’t know. . . .Any insight as to what is happening? It seems so strange not having updates to install. When it rains. . . it pours. . . then all of a sudden a drought.

Wait till night, who knows you might manage to get a glass !

That happened to me not too long ago. I had to update my keys before it would recognize available updates for some reason

sudo pacman -Sy archlinux-keyring
sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux
sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys

I think update is not available right now :

 core is up to date
 extra is up to date

Sunday is often a lighter day in terms of package updates from the volunteer maintainers.

I’d recommend only doing updates when you have additional time and your ISO USB in case something goes wrong. Said another way, doing updates the night before a project is due might risk the project.

Some of you need to relax a bit and actually enjoy the operating system! Without going online, without wasting time watching if there’s an update.

It made me angry when I read someone complaining and saying that he/she would have liked Manjaro to be a rolling-release distro. Because that person must have disliked getting “Nothing to do” reply from “pacman”. I admit thought, I was worried that for three weeks on my Manjaro MATE setup, that was the reply and I gave the command to update five times during that time. This was before the 22.12 update IINM.

Where’s the fun in being stuck into updating the system before being willing to do anything on it? Missing Windows yet some of you? LOL

I used to be that way, writing this before somebody gets sensitive with what I wrote here. Because I’m a hopeless distro-hopper. I have to enjoy what I already have because I have only one life to live.

I enjoy my operating system. . . nobody is complaining. . . .just an observation. When you’ve been spoiled it’s hard to the trees in the forest. No offense to anyone and everybody. . . especially the developers. They’ve done excellent work.
