Is it possible to share the PDF you are having issues with?

NO sorry there is a privat content. But it is not only one pdf these problem has all pdfs.

Just try it on an unprotected pdf. If you can view the PDF there’s nothing wrong with the data and it’s not because of LUKS.

The tested pdfs are ok an other computer. It is the combination of the encrypted system, the desktop environment and the capability of the different programs with pdfs.

It has nothing to do with encryption/luks.

pdfs can have all kinds of different things inside them so without a sample PDF, it is hard to understand what might be happening here.

Also, can you give an example of what the “garbage data” you are seeing is?

There’s a bit going on in your original post. @tommyhl, are you able to simply state what it is you need to do with the PDF?

  • Not all PDFs permit copy/paste.
  • Not all PDFs contain text that can be copied (it could be an image, or vector paths).
  • Some PDFs intentially protect their contents.

Could you please post the output of
