Login themes fail to load, Plasma module errors

I reinstalled the latest version of EndeavourOS and every time I boot to my login screen, I see the generic SDDM theme and errors regarding my theme. It happens with any custom theme I try to use:

However, after I log in, locking the screen does load the login screen correctly. It’s only when the PC first boots up that it cannot load the lockscreen theme.

I’m not sure where to go from here, since trying other themes fail so I don’t particularly think it’s an issue with the theme(s). Something else is borked.

Any help is appreciated.

I am not sure what is going on with your themes but I can tell you that the login screen and the lock screen are completely separate things. SDDM provides the login screen and the lock screen is part of plasma.

Have you applied a valid SDDM theme?

Ah, I thought they were somewhat the same because it’s the same theme applied to both screens, login or unlock.

I have several themes that should be valid, unless something changed in Plasma with the latest EOS release and broke them. I’ll try some others.

I’m using the McMojave login screen and haven’t encountered any issues on my end.
Have you tried using the standard Breeze login screen?

I switched to the stock Breeze login theme and that works, so I think McMojave and Layan need to possibly update their themes to the latest KDE Plasma version? I’m going to uninstall and reinstall them to check if my installation of them are just corrupted.

For what it is worth the login screen from layan also has never worked for me but the rest of the theme is working ok.

Are you able to resolved the issue after reinstall?
